Watercolor Video Tutorials

The video lessons posted below are made for Snail Mail subscribers! As a perk of joining the mail club, you’ll receive access to quarterly watercolor lessons.

These lessons are designed for you to work on your own piece with some guidance as to my techniques. Some lessons will be inspired by a more realistic style than others. Every 3 months you’ll receive a watercolor palette to use as well as a scrap for blending, 140 lb cold pressed paper with a design printed on it, an additional blank watercolor sheet, and a brush.

If you have your own paints and brushes, I highly recommend using them! The paints supplied are Winsor & Newton student grade, but I typically work with other brands.

    Jellyfish Tutorial

    This is a short video walkthrough of painting a jellyfish for the July Snail Mail Art & Nature Club. This painting is designed to be very simple, and does not need to be based off of a reference photo. For those that do want to have more accurate details, the type of jellyfish close to the one being painted is a compass jellyfish.
